Booking policy

What to expect from your request.

Advance booking

Standard trips require at least one hour’s notice and must finish by midnight. Customers may request up to seven days ahead. Daily trips can repeat for up to 14 days; selected-day schedules can include three to five days per week for up to two weeks.

Confirmation

A request is normally confirmed after Operations and the assigned driver accept it. When the Operations Officer authorizes driver-only confirmation for official duties, only the driver assigned by Operations can confirm it. If a vehicle is unavailable, MAPD may close the request as Service not available or Fully booked.

Waiting at pickup

The standard waiting period is 10 minutes and may be extended to 15 minutes when possible. The driver must try to contact the trip number before operations decides a no-show.

Changes and cancellation

Cancel or request changes at least 30 minutes before pickup when possible. Online changes close 20 minutes before pickup; contact MAPD for help after that cutoff. Material changes made before the cutoff return the trip to operations and driver confirmation.

No cancellation fee

MAPD does not charge a cancellation or no-show fee. Operations may review frequent cancellations or no-shows under an internal service-use policy and will contact the customer before any restriction.

Payment

Payment is accepted only after travel. Pay by cash, bank transfer, or an approved organization authorization. Linked one-way trips may be paid together.

On-call returns

Request the return time and call the assigned driver at least 20 minutes before you want pickup. An on-call return does not hold a vehicle until operations and the driver confirm it.

Airport journeys

Provide flight landing time for airport pickup or the desired airport arrival time for airport drop-off. Flight number is optional.
