Accessibility statement

Accessible booking should work for everyone.

The Maldives Association of Persons with Disabilities (MAPD) is committed to making the Accessible Vehicle Booking website usable by people with diverse disabilities, access needs, devices, and assistive technologies.

Our accessibility goal

MAPD aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and continues to test and improve this service.

Scope

This statement covers the public information pages and the customer, caregiver, driver, supervisor, and Operations workspaces at av-booking.com.

Page structure and navigation

Pages use descriptive titles, one main heading, ordered heading levels, labelled regions, and consistent navigation. A “Skip to main content” link lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass repeated navigation.

Accessibility features

  • Keyboard-accessible links, buttons, forms, menus, and dialogs.
  • Visible keyboard focus and clear form labels, instructions, and error summaries.
  • Responsive layouts designed to reflow at 320 CSS pixels and support browser zoom and interface text enlargement.
  • Native date and time controls with a labelled typed-entry option, so opening the calendar popup is not required.
  • Dark and high-contrast themes, text and spacing controls, reduced motion, reading guides, and other display preferences.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and hidden decorative images where appropriate.
  • Optional disability and assistive-technology information with no medical-document requirement.

Compatibility and testing

The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common desktop and mobile assistive technologies. MAPD uses WCAG 2.2 automated checks, keyboard testing, 320-pixel reflow checks, colour-contrast review, and journey-based testing. Automated checks cannot identify every barrier, so testing with disabled users and real screen readers remains essential.

Known limitations

Third-party services, including map, email, and browser-provided calendar interfaces, may behave differently with assistive technology. Customers can enter addresses and dates manually without using those optional interfaces. MAPD is arranging additional journey testing with NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and disabled users, and will record and prioritize confirmed barriers.

Feedback and help

If something is difficult to access, tell MAPD which page or task you were using, what went wrong, and which browser or assistive technology you use if you are comfortable sharing it.

Call +9607633561 or email [email protected]. MAPD can also help complete a booking through an agreed support channel.
